I did myself dirty by trying to do it ALL by myself again- I’m getting too squishy and old for trying to attempt conventions all by myself. Plus it’s just not as much fun without a road buddy. It was 100% audacity and poor planning on my end but it was an over-all success! I celebrated by treating myself to a white claw and sushi at kabuki in central city, then back to the hostel to pass the fuck out.

I need to exercise more.

The next morning I left my hostel and went to the Grindcore coffee shop- yes, a metal niche coffe shop with an excellent pun for a name that served delicious vegan food ( I’m far from vegan but I respect the talent it takes to make the great tastes) and the best golden latte of my life. Once resurrected, I decided to make a stop to the new ( opened in October 2023) VAMPA museum in Doylestown PA. What a dream! It was definitely created by some wild kindred spirits. I really want the owner to publish a book about himself. He seems super interesting just based off everything I observed and he was really unassuming and friendly. The place is just chefs kiss.

I aspire to have my own PA Dutch themed witch house and garden but this guy surpassed my wildest visions. It’s also an antique shop. With a live peacock and Dino garden.

Sooooo much visual candy from the buildings, the gardens and the absolute incredible ART! East PA has some serious treasure troves of culture in private collections like this. I’m so grateful to people who have the talent, $$$ and vision to share this stuff.

From Carl Jung to Crowley, there’s an energy there that is intense. They allow kids but I’d say bring teens. It’s sensory to say the least. I swear the 2 middle rooms had a palpable “heat” to them. Didn’t stay too long in those. The ouija room was awesome. The Gregorian chants served an important purpose I suppose- beyond just simply setting the mood. Did I mention there’s a living pet peacock? This place was packed with all the people on a beautiful day. I had the absolute best time. Doylestown is adorable too. I wish I booked an extra day out but I’ll definitely be returning with the fam to bike, hike & explore more.

Go check this place out- it’s above and beyond!
