A New street fair is in town taking place in our lovely craig st. in Oakland ! So excited to be part of a fair that highlights femme & queer culture and is geared to the alternative crowd of artists and collectors. I’m proud of Pittsburgh for being a really odd place for such a small city. This is just another fine example. Hoping it will be busy with the back-to-school college crowd. Also hoping that the market weather gods shine mercy down upon me since my first outdoor market with my tent was bookended with RAIN- absolutely horrible but didn’t seem to affect the attendance.

We live in a temperate rainforest so wet weather doesn’t seem to turn too many people off. It’s technically storm season and I have already had myself a close call with a mini tornado on Friday. Found out I missed a giant tree falling on my car within minutes of leaving- I had parked beneath it for school pickup when the public safety warning went off. Feeling a little like mothman over here - I have an uncanny tendency to peace out of situations moments before something devastating happens. I’m none the wiser until a few hours or days later…. It’s happened too many times to count. I need to send my guardian gremlin a thank you note and some flowers. ANYWAYS I hope I see you bad bitches at our self titled fair. I like to think I appeal to that niche market.

I’ll be bringing extra shades for summer and weapon attire that says “Fuck with me and find out” for added Dommy-Mommy vibes. These looks really accentuate the RBF to a new level, which these college girls need being in Oakland. I should know. My younger self was harassed far too often there. The most notable of stories was me nearly being kidnapped by a lost, wasted, Jimmy Buffet fan. Idk what it was about me drinking orange juice in a cannibal holocaust tank top outside of a get go that gave him the idea to approach me and ask me to flash him for money….
